Our Story

The Chef

Mulberry & Mott is led by chef-owner Natasha Goellner, a pastry chef whose work has shaped kitchens across Kansas City for decades. After the Kansas City Art Institute, and graduating from the French Culinary Institute in New York City, she opened her first retail pastry shop in 2005. Natasha shifted gears in 2019 so she could spend more time with her children, who were 3yrs and 1yr old. Natasha went to work with her brother and is the Executive pastry Chef for her brother's restaurants, Anjin and The Antler Room-the latter a James Beard Awards nominated restaurant. Her role spans menu development, technique, and mentorship, bringing a refined pastry perspective into some of the city's most respected dining rooms.

Earlier in her career, Natasha's work gained national recognition. Mulberry & Mott macarons were carried by Dean & Deluca and featured in the Williams Sonoma holiday-catalog-placing a Kansas City pastry brand on a national stage.

Her approach has always balanced discipline with playfulness: classically trained, technically precise, and unafraid of color or personality.

That same philosophy continues to guide Mulberry & Mott today.
